® xMAP ® Multiplex Assays for Biomarker Discovery
Do you need to analyze cytokines or growth factors in plasma or serum specimens?
Do you need to simultaneously measure multiple biomarkers in small volumes of specimens?
Gnome Sciences has multiplex assay solutions to perform these complex studies for you.
Luminex® xMAP® is a technology for analyzing multiple biological analytes in a single sample. The process is similar to ELISA, but it has the advantages of greater sensitivity, and the ability to detect up to 80 analytes (proteins, nucleic acid, polysaccharides) in a single multiplex assay. This assay can be performed on a 96-well or 384-well microplate, allowing for high-throughput analysis.
Gnome utilizes this Luminex® technology for various applications such as quantitative protein detection and gene expression, where multiplexing would be advantageous for understanding complex processes.
This technology can give valuable insights into biomarkers and protein pathways such as cytokines, chemokines, growth factors, and other proteins of interest utilizing unique panels such as:
- Inflammation / cytokine storm
Sample types that can be analyzed:
- Cell culture supernatant
- Whole blood
- Cultured cells
- Tissue lysates
- Formalin-Fixed Paraffin Embedded (FFPE)
