"We use GnomeDX for COVID-19 PCR testing in our facility and they are excellent! They are completely customer service oriented and friendly, and we typically always receive test results for our staff and residents the very next day. They respond immediately when we need outbreak testing, and send additional staff to help collect samples. They also provide a no-cost courier service, and bill all the necessary insurance claims for testing - which takes a lot off our plate."

FAQs:

How do our organization members access their results?

Results are provided to each patient via an online portal. Patients can expect two emails from GnomeDX. The first email contains a unique token number and instructions on how to use the Patient Portal to view results. The second email notifies the patient when their results are ready.

How long does it take to get results?

Our standard turnaround time is 24 hours after receiving of the sample.

What if one of our organization members has a positive result?

Anyone who tests positive for COVID-19 on a PCR Test should quarantine and follow CDC guidelines and organizational protocols. In most cases, the individual should be retested and receive two consecutive negative PCR test results before returning to standard social distancing protocols.

What is the cost for the PCR Test for our organization members?

As long as the testing is mandated or medically necessary, there will be no charge to the organization and the cost of testing will be covered by Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance or a federally-funded program for the uninsured.

What is the difference between a Gnome PCR Test and a Rapid Antigen Test?

The PCR Test is the CDC Gold Standard to determine if an individual is currently infected with the COVID-19 virus (even if they do not show symptoms). The sample is collected as a nasal or throat swab.

The sensitivity of rapid Antigen Tests is generally lower than PCR. Antigen levels in specimens collected 5-7 days after the onset of symptoms may drop below the limit of the test’s detection. This may produce a negative test result, while a more sensitive test, such as PCR, may return a positive result.

Does GnomeDX provide COVID-19 Serological Antibody Testing?

Yes, GnomeDX offers COVID-19 Serological Antibody Tests as an option for an organization’s custom testing program.
