COVID-19 Study Services
Gnome Sciences offers a wide range of services regarding the detection and analyses of the SARS-CoV2 virus. Services are available utilizing its biorepository of hundreds of formalin fixed, paraffin embedded blocks from autopsies of fatal COVID-19 cases that includes most major organs. It has hundreds of slides from people with skin lesions related to either SARS-CoV2 or the vaccine; in all biopsies and autopsies there is extensive clinical information. It has extensive experience in both detecting the viral RNA and proteins in formalin fixed, paraffin embedded tissues in situ and delineating the concomitant host response with co-localization experiments and software. This is evidenced by the many peer-review papers published by the GnomeDX/Gnome Sciences team. Gnome Sciences has developed protocols to extract and analyze the viral proteins via ELISA, dot blot hybridization, and Western blot analyses. It also has extensive experience in qRT-PCR analyses of the RNA extracted from the formalin fixed, paraffin embedded tissues, including variant detection. Finally Gnome Sciences has a large library of nasopharyngeal swabs already analyzed for viral RNA that can be used for other solution phase work or in situ localization of the virus and host response.
